The Bathmat
So
I started knitting the bathmat and got a fair distance when I decided
that that the 7.5 mm needles with Bernat
Cotton Tots was just too loose for a bathmat. Although I think
the stich I invented will eventually make it nice and thick and absorbant
at a needle size a few mm down.
Here is how the stitch looks up close. I'm
thinking maybe a 5mm needle size will do the trick although its going
to be a tough knit at that size and with the non-stretchy cotton because
all of the stitches are knit into the back in order to give the bathmat
its thickness.
It will be a while before I get to it though because I really want to get my footlets done while it is still nice and hot out and I have a reason to use them.
