FNIHB and CNA Nursing Portal
2003 - 2006
For many years, MDA was involved in developing a portal website to help nurses with various things related to nursing. The site was first developed for the First Nation Inuit Health Branch and had to be designed using strict federal government guidelines known as the "common look and feel" or, CLF 1.1. At the time, this meant working with only the 256 web-safe colours. When the Canadian Nursing Association was brought into the project, the CLF guidelines were relaxed and the site's mock-ups were given a more finessed look.
During the years I spent working on this project, much of my time was spent on research and development, working directly with nursing consultants as the site was put together.
The site now exists as NurseOne and is no longer being developed by MDA.
